Tiers

In persecuted countries there are different tiers of danger that the missionaries are in. Meet ones we support, 3 representing the most in danger and 1 being the least.

Living Life with the Persecuted Church

Previously living under circumstances where they could be taken custody and where their freedoms could be taken, they remain in a situation where their identities must be protected to work with the persecuted church.

Due to facial recognition software, they have their backs turned and are using a pseudo name.

The “MacLean” Family in Southeast Asia

For the past twenty years we have served as missionaries in Asia working alongside the persecuted churches that persevere under a communist regime. In the Lord’s providence we were deported by the totalitarian regime in 2021.

Before we were deported, local church pastors and deacons had directed us to make a contingency plan to move to southeast Asia so that we could continue our ministry with them in a new location, while at the same time taking the good news of salvation in Christ alone to a new city.

By the Lord’s grace we have begun work in this new location, and we have planted a new church with the local people and missionary colleagues.

We are also providing southeast Asian pastors with seminary education at a newly established school where the authority and sufficiency of Scripture are not compromised with pragmatism. In addition, we are also providing the publishing of Biblically faithful seminary textbooks and other study materials in the Thai language.

Please join us in this gospel ministry by helping us to continue to provide theological education and doctrinally sound study materials for the churches of southeast Asia and also for the persecuted churches in surrounding countries. Please pray for us as God builds his church in our city, and pray for the young men who are being equipped to pastor churches.

Willie and Carol Thomas (Tier 1)

Willie and Carol Thomas are declaring the Gospel with boldness and taking it to the ends of the earth. In their journey, they are currently serving in Romania, where they do life and ministry alongside the Romanian people, specifically in the Oltenia region, with the active goal of growing disciples of Christ to reach the world for Him. Supporting Missions through Honest Witness will help Willie and Carol make disciples in Romania and beyond.

The Dale Family in Uruguay (Tier 2)

Clay and Meg both received degrees in biblical studies and engaged in planning, hosting, and directing events for youth, missions, and marriage enrichment. As well as ministering through wedding planning and pre/post marital counseling. God also allowed them to take part in short-term trips around the Southeast US, Israel, Jamaica, and Nepal to labor in preaching, discipleship, and physical aid.

During all of this they consistently sought the Lord to direct their paths and order their steps, which led them to a year of specific prayer and research concerning long-term international missions. Believing that God’s will and desires should be their own, regardless of challenges, threats, or the unknown, in July of 2020 they surrendered their lives to His call for international missions. They felt strongly that they should trust the Lord by offering themselves to go anywhere that He wanted to send them and praying that He would use them to “stand in a gap” where the need was great. In answering this, they were led to ABWE International and the South American nation of Uruguay. Uruguay is the most atheistic country in the world with the highest suicide rate. Supporting the Dale family through Honest Witness will promote the development of Gospel missions in Uruguay.
